About Sports Focus
Sports Focus is a Regional Sports Assembly that was established in 1983 by Sport & Recreation Victoria to provide better support to sports clubs in central Victoria.
We are a non-profit organisation which aims to support and empower sporting clubs to be more safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces for the broader community to enjoy sport and active recreation.
Our Community
We support the central Victorian community to become physically active through the community sport sector. Our region includes City of Greater Bendigo, Loddon Shire, Campaspe Shire, Central Goldfields Shire, Mount Alexander Shire, and Macedon Ranges Shire.

Through our extensive network of partners that include, but aren’t limited to; State Government, Local Government Authorities, Health Services, Education and Sport, we aim to engage and enable communities to shape their future health and wellbeing.

Thank you for considering a career at Sports Focus. As much as we would welcome passionate community minded people to join our organisation, there are a few boxes that need to be ticked off before we unleash you on your exciting new journey with Sports Focus.
As a guide and for your information, individuals interested in gaining employment with us should have the following;
- Bachelor Degree in Public Health – Health Promotion or Bachelor of Arts (Community Development).
- A passion for working with the community, for the community.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A determination to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, through participation in physical activity.
So, did you tick off all the above boxes? Well, if you did, we currently have a part-time (13hrs p/wk) position available for the right person. This is a 12-month maternity leave position through to January 2025.
