good sportsGood Sports is an initiative of the Australian Drug Foundation. The program works with community based sporting clubs to promote responsible management of alcohol, to increase viability of sporting clubs and assist in creating a welcoming and friendly environment.

VicHealth’s 3 year Regional Sport Program has two main focus areas – Physical Activity and Water. The Regional Sport Program supports growth in active participation through sport, while encouraging sporting clubs and their participants to select water as the beverage of choice.

The award was established in 1989 and in that time has celebrated the essential role that sport and active recreation plays in the fabric of our local communities.
