Good Sports Program
Good Sports is an initiative of the Australian Drug Foundation. The program works with community based sporting clubs to promote responsible management of alcohol, to increase viability of sporting clubs and assist in creating a welcoming and friendly environment.
Access for All Abilities
Many community clubs are already doing great things to welcome and include people with a disability into their sporting environment. Sometimes however, clubs can benefit from advice and support to actively encourage people with a disability to participate fully in the life of their club.
Regional Sport Program
VicHealth’s 3 year Regional Sport Program has two main focus areas – Physical Activity and Water. The Regional Sport Program supports growth in active participation through sport, while encouraging sporting clubs and their participants to select water as the beverage of choice.
Administrator of the Year awards
The Sports Focus ‘Administrator of the Year’ Award recognises the achievements and contribution made by volunteer Administrators to the sport and active recreation sector. The award was established in 1989 and in that time has celebrated the essential role that sport and active recreation plays in the fabric of our local communities.
