Deadline for Working with Children Check (WWCC) Looms

The deadline for volunteer/employees in the sports below is July 1st 2009, after which significant penalties apply to those who are required to have the WWCC and have not done so.

The sports are: Athletics (including Little Athletics), Basketball, Cricket, Football (Australian Rules), Football (Soccer), Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Netball, Swimming, Tennis.

The responsibility lies with the clubs or organisations, so it is in their best interest to ensure that all the relevant individuals have obtained their WWCC before the deadline.
